Abstract
Triploidy, complete extra set of chromosomes, is estimated to occur in about 2 percent of conceptuses. Most are lost as miscarriges accounting for about 20 percent of all chromosomally abmormal spontanous abortuses.
Partial hydatidiform moles are usually associated with a triploid fetus and very rarely undergo malignant changes.
Our report is the result of the cytogenetic finding of 5 cases(1 case of 69, XXY and 4 cases of 69, XXX) with triploidy syndrome who had been D & C at the Il Sin Christian Hospital during the period from April, 1992 to May, 1993.
